Marketing Plan
Our marketing plan included distributing 25,000 flyers and brochures by professional promoters to the top governmental and private universities in Amman, in malls and some of the coffee shops that youth people attend.
The second marketing tool, GESCO has used is advertising in major daily newspapers and two-three weekly newspaper. Advertising campaigns had started one month prior to the exhibition, in the last week before the exhibition daily ads were placed in all official newspapers on the first pages.
The third marketing tool that GESCO has used is radio shots in two major radio channels (Arabic and English, Sawt Elgad and Play); ads were announced in several popular shows, and between programs.
GESCO had sent more than 200,000 SMS messages via Zain (The first telecommunication company in the Middle East). SMS messages targeted specific age and specific people.
Roya TV the biggest private TV channel in Jordan interviewed GESCO chairman Dr. Ma'en Abdel-Jaber and GESCO London manager Dr. Omar Abdel-Jaber, and talked about this event and its targets. Roya TV also broadcasted some of the event activities.
Finally, GESCO teamed up with an online advertising and Media Company, a data base of 1,000,000 users was specified as a target for the exhibition ads. Ads were distributed according to a time schedule that was announced later on. Of course regular ads have been already placed on GESCO’s official website and Facebook group. Strong media campaign was also published on the Facebook in order to announce the event for so many people.
